Vinay Nadkarni, Rajiv Nair, Ashish Jhalani to address In-Store Asia 2015 Conference

Vinay Nadkarni, MD& CEO, Globus Stores, will address a session on'The In-Store Experience: The Next Frontier For Revenue Growth & Profitability' on February 5, Rajiv Nair, CEO, Celio Future Fashion Ltd, will speak on'Understanding Indian Consumers In The Social Media Era' on February 6, and Ashish Jhalani, Founder of eTailing India, will speak on'Growth Prospects & Strategies of Retail Formats -- Family Managed Retail / Modern Retail / Online Retail' on February 6.

In-Store Asia 2015 which will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre during February 5-7, 2015 will have an impressive line-up of expert speakers. Among them, Vinay Nadkarni, MD& CEO, Globus Stores, will address a session on'The In-Store Experience: The Next Frontier For Revenue Growth & Profitability' on February 5, Rajiv Nair, CEO, Celio Future Fashion Ltd, will speak on'Understanding Indian Consumers In The Social Media Era' on February 6, and Ashish Jhalani, Founder of eTailing India, will speak on'Growth Prospects & Strategies of Retail Formats -- Family Managed Retail / Modern Retail / Online Retail' on February 6.

Vinay Nadkarni has over 16 years of experience in retail out of the 26 years of overall industry experience. He is the Managing Director and CEO of Globus Stores, Founder Director of the Retailers Association of India (RAI) and The Retailers Association's Skill Council of India (RASCI). Vinay has spearheaded the setting up and expansion of 36 specialty Globus retail store chains. He has a strong finance background, and has handled various roles in finance before taking over as CEO of Globus in 2004.

Rajiv Nair has over two decades of experience as a retailer having worked across multiple retail formats and multiple roles in product, business planning, brand management, operations and various other strategic areas. He has held various leadership positions in Shoppers Stop, Hypercity, mothercare and now as the CEO of Celio Future Fashion Limited.

Rajiv started his career as a graduate management trainee at Shoppers Stop Limited and spent 18 years in the Shoppers Stop Limited Group. His last role at Shoppers Stop departmental store was as the Trading Head (HOD) of the Women's wear and Kids wear business. Rajiv then went on to set up the mothercare UK franchise in India (Shoppers Stop Limited was the sole India Franchisee of mothercare PLC UK). He thereafter worked with Hypercity Retail limited as the Business Head for General Merchandise (Home, Sports, CDIT) & Apparel. Hypercity is the big box Hypermarket format of Shoppers Stop limited.

Rajiv now heads the India Business of Celio, which is France's leading brand of men's wear apparel -- a 1 billion euro company. Celio today has 41 stores in India and 130 shop-in-shops and has a significant presence in the online marketplace model. It is one of the first international companies to secure a 100% FDI approval and has been charting steady growth in India over the last five years.

Ashish Jhalani is the Founder of eTailing India (the largest eCommerce Knowledge Platform in India). eTailing India provides knowledge to the retail and eCommerce industries by organising conferences and workshops; releasing research reports, guides and directories. Recently eTailing India has also embarked on partnering to launch Indian School of eBusiness (ISeB) to provide eBusiness training.

eTailing India recently announced a collaborative agreement with IRCE, the world-renowned e-commerce event and exhibition in the United States. Ashish is also closely associated with several ventures as an adviser and mentor.
 
Ashish graduated from NYU Stern School of Business and worked as a Retail Expert for Kurt Salmon in their New York Office, where he helped clients such as Home Depot, Sara Lee Apparels, Tiffany & Co., Phillips Van Huesen devise their market strategy & operations. Ashish is also the Co-Founder & CEO of MySolitaire.com (US).
