Vineet Gautam, CEO and Country Head of Bestseller India, who has announced that he is stepping down from his current role, reminisced about his journey with Bestseller on social media.
Vineet Gautam, CEO and Country Head of Bestseller India has stepped down. In his public post social media platform he reminisced, “After 15 unforgettable years, the time has come for me to step down from my role at Bestseller India. My last working day will be 31st December 2024, marking the end of an incredible chapter in my professional journey.I can vividly recall stepping into a small office on the 1st of January, 2010, carrying with me dreams that felt ambitious, almost impossible, yet exhilarating.Today, it fills me with immense pride to have been part of the incredible growth story of brands like JACK & JONES, Vero Moda, ONLY BRAND HOUSE, and SELECTED FEMME/HOMME.”
As Vineet shared in his post, the brand team managed to not only introduce these brands to the Indian market but also expanded their presence from a handful of stores to over 1,538 shop-in-shops and nearly 332 exclusive brand outlets across the country.
Vineet has also been a champion for customising store designs and visual merchandising to suit the local ethos and has spoken on public platforms about the need for global brands to think local.
Reportedly, Mrithyunjay Amblimath, currently serving as the head of sales, will take on the roleof an interim leader for Bestseller India.
