What’s the biggest advantage of being a woman in retail design?
Being a woman in retail design, I believe we have a lot of sensitivity towards details. There is a natural empathy in how we read environments. We bring the best of creative spatial thinking and business perspective.

Where do you derive your inspiration from?
My greatest inspiration comes from my colleagues and friends who have consistently been a strong source of support throughout my journey. They have not only stood by me during challenges but have also acted as mentors, offering guidance, encouragement, and valuable insights at every step. I truly value the learning and inspiration that come from being surrounded by such supportive and inspiring individuals.
Your dream project
I aspire to create retail spaces that go beyond functionality. Spaces that evoke emotion, connect with customers, and leave a lasting impression. I would especially value the opportunity to collaborate with international brands that prioritize meaningful experiences and place their customers at the heart of their philosophy, viewing retail not just as a place to sell products but as a platform to engage, inspire, and build lasting connections.

Your advice to fellow & upcoming women in the field of retail design?
My advice to women entering the retail design industry would be to stay curious, confident, and open to continuous learning. Equally important is to seek collaboration and mentorship. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you, and support your growth. Every project, big or small, brings valuable lessons, so embrace each experience as an opportunity to refine your skills and expand your vision.
What can help you unwind and reset during hectic workdays?
I believe in finding joy in the little breaks that come along hectic workdays. A good cup of coffee, spontaneous catch-ups with friends, or unwinding with a movie always do the trick for me. These simple moments help me step away from the rush, lighten the mood, and recharge my mind.
Favourite travel destination and why?
I love exploring new places, as travel always offers a fresh perspective and a chance to experience different cultures and environments. One destination that has left a lasting impression on me is London—a city I never seem to get tired of visiting. Its deep historical connections with India make it particularly fascinating, and every corner of the city carries a story that reflects its rich heritage and cultural diversity.
I also find the charming villages surrounding the city truly captivating. Their serene landscapes, timeless architecture, and close connection with nature create a sense of calm and simplicity that feels almost perfect in its own way. Together, the vibrant energy of London and the quiet beauty of its nearby countryside make the experience incredibly memorable.
