ZINK LONDON unveils first Indian flagship store in Kolkata

Zink London's roadmap for 2020 is to be present in 300 SIS locations and open 50 flagship stores across the country.

Announcing the launch, Malini Singhal, Director,'Zink London', residing in London, taking care of UK & European operations, stated, "We are overwhelmed to launch our flagship store in Kolkata; it is a significant achievement for us and underlines the importance of this city for'Zink London'. It has been our earnest endeavour to enhance customer experience at the store with superior products, quality craftsmanship and a happy service for all. We started this brand four years back in U.K and started our operations in India since last 18 months through two SIS which has now gone up to 60. Thus we are extremely hopeful that our flagship stores will be able to add on more value to the fashion quotient of this city. Being headquartered here in Kolkata and having the best selling SIS stores it has been our obvious choice for the launch.†When asked about the reason behind launching it at Forum, Malini further adds, "It has got a very young and rich neighbourhood as well as it is located in an up-market area of the city.â€
Speaking on the momentous occasion, Vivek Goyal, Director of'Zink London' said, "A dream project comes true for me and I am extremely excited. The styles are very modern and go hand in hand with the world fashion scene. The collection has been made keeping in mind the woman of today who looks for value for money in the growing, dynamic world of fashion. The roadmap for 2020 is, presence in 300 SIS locations and 50 company-held stores.†On the choice of Forum, Vivek mentions, "it is a very premium mall and as per our market research we hope to get a niche customer who are serious buyers.â€

The'Zink London' line of women's wear is now available at 75 shop-in-shops (SIS) across the country, in Shoppers Stop, Central and online at Jabong & Myntra. "In terms of expanding the retail footprints we want to open another store in Kolkata at South City Mall with larger area and have plans to target all the metros and Category A cities and then aim to reach out to B cities like Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow and such,†shares Malini. Vivek agreeing with the same adds on, "We have huge plans for B town because the purchasing power is really high and we got to know this through the research that we have done via SIS outlets, apart from this all the metros and Tier I city be it Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, will have our stores. The entire east zone is also our target and we plan to have 10-12 stores in this region within three years.â€
