These six life-like installations, crafted entirely from electronic waste, greeted visitors when they entered the Bengaluru Tech Summit held during November 19-21 at the Bangalore Palace, which demonstrate that creative visual merchandising can effectively sell an idea or concept too!
Bengaluru’s Tech Summit (BTS) 2024,organised by the Department of E, IT and Bt, Government of Karnataka, during November 19-21 at the Bangalore Palace, hosted several tech innovations and multi-stage conferences. Themed ‘Unbound’ for this year, the 27th edition of BTS’24 was also lined up with innovative installations right at the entrance this year.
Designed and created by C&D Concept, there were 6 installations in total ranging from the logo of the summit, a hand, a human head and more. Raj Shekar Reddy N, Designer and Founder of C&D Concept, who created these creations told Retail4Growth, “When we were approached by ITBT for innovative works for the Tech Summit, we suggested formations out of Electronic Waste to keep it aligned with the theme.”
Raj Shekar said that the entire project was fast-tracked and done within a week’s time. The materials were all procured from the city, and the installations were fixed to be used as a permanent display.
Two white fixtures also served as holders for chits placed by visitors containing their thoughts about the summit, giving the illusion of a tree with branches.
The installations demonstrate that good visual merchandising can serve many purposes – including driving home a concept!
