VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2018: Nirav Modi Diwali Window Displays

Nirav Modi’s Diwali window took inspiration from paisley leaf, a celebrated art form in India. To be able to do justice to the craftsmanship of intricate paisley carpets was challenging enough to inspire the artists on board. Intricacy, layers, festivity are the core driving features. Each paisley form in the composition is a unique design made up of various layers of paper forms and cutouts. The way it disperses into gradually diminishing elements is truly mesmerizing. The entire composition was glued to a meticulous framework of transparent fish-wires constructed beforehand. This gave an illusion of the paisleys floating in the air magically.
