VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2018 : The 100 Feet Lounge

Spread across 2409 sq ft in Ahmedabad, 100 Feet Lounge isan installation for a unique experience, made for a real estate brand “Ravi Desai”, for its first venture – a residential apartment building. The space has three zones employing as a single color expression through its floor, ceiling, walls, as well as the elements within that space. The three colors are integral to the ‘Residential Property” and its attributes.

Green is inspired by nature and landscape for eternal peace and tranquility, as the entire ground floor is dedicated to landscape and is a no car zone. Black connects to luxury, comfort and the aspirations - this stems from the project being quite high end in this location. Blue is inspired by the sky with the idea of spaciousness and a sense of space without obstructions, also connects directly to the ‘water bodies’ and the jutting balconies that invite the sky.

These zones together define our inspirations towards the core values of the project without directly conveying the actual project or any particular specifications. The installation is minimalistic, luxurious and artistic.
