Bosch and Siemens plan to take its store count to 60 in 2015

In its initial marketing strategy, Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances will first focus on metro markets and will gradually expand to state capitals and tier II cities.

Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances announced their plans to double its store count to over 60 by the end of next year. The company is also gearing up to be a leading player in the consumer durables segment within five years. "We would have over 60 stores of Bosch and Siemens brands together by the end of next year. Presently, we have 20 stores of Siemens and 12 of Bosch. We would double brand network of Siemens by the end of 2015," says Gunjan Srivastava, Managing Director & CEO, Siemens Home Appliances.

It also aims to increase its availability at points of sales from 12,000 to 14,000. "We are aiming to be a leading player in the domestic appliance sector in next five years. We are having a double digit growth rate. In last few months we had around 35 per cent growth rate and would try to keep it," Srivastava said.

The company has opened its first brand store of Bosch Household Appliances and second retail brand store of Siemens Home Appliances in Gurgaon.

The German company strategically aims to localise its products for India and evaluating options to offer entry-level products. In its initial marketing strategy, the company will first focus on metro markets and will gradually expand to state capitals and tier II cities. It has already considerable presence in cities such as Bhopal, Coimbatore, Ghaziabad, Ahmedabad and Trichur.
