In Store Asia 2019 Convention begins on an insightful note

In Store Asia Convention 2019 took off on an insightful note with the key note address delivered by Jamshed Daboo, Managing Director, Trent Hypermarket, and the welcome address by Werner M Dornscheidt, President & CEO, Messe Dusseldorf GmbH.
The much awaited 12th edition of In-Store Asia, now part of EuroShop Dusseldorf, the world’s #1 retail fair for all investment needs in the retail sector, kicked off today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai with the inauguration of the Expo and Convention.
Werner M Dornscheidt, President & CEO, Messe Dusseldorf GmbH, while delivering the welcome address highlighted the importance In-Store Asia for the retail community and said, “We believe in In-Store Asia and we are sure that there will be excellent participation from Europe in In-Store Asia 2010.” He said that preparations for In Asia 2020 had already begun.
Jamshed Daboo, Managing Director, Trent Hypermarket, delivered the key note address at the Convention on the topic, ‘Customer Experience: Business Excellence- Elevating the paradigm.’
Sharing his observations on brick and mortar retail, Jamshed Daboo, focused on the need to define and understand customer experience. “Even today although we keep talking about customer experience, it has not become an all pervasive force. Customer experience has to be addressed more comprehensively.”
“Customer experience is the sum total of the various journeys, moments of truths, etc that the customer experiences with products and brands at various touch points,” he added. In this context he said that business excellence was linked to leadership and highlighted the need to go back to fundamental human values as the driving force for business excellence.
