Brite Edge unveils next-gen transparent media solutions for retail & commercial environments

By Retail4Growth Bureau | June 12, 2026

With the launch of Transparent LED Film, Smart Film, UTD Film and Sky Screen, Brite Edge is bringing a new generation of display and smart surface technologies to retail, commercial and experiential spaces.

What if the walls, windows and glass facades become dynamic visual experiences? By offering just this solution, Brite Edge, a technology and architectural media solutions company, is betting on a future in which architecture itself becomes a communication medium. At a recent showcase, the company unveiled a suite of transparent media and smart surface technologies, including Transparent LED Film, Smart Film, UTD Film and Sky Screen, to help brands and retailers create more immersive and interactive environments. Ideal for retail spaces, airports, malls, events and corporate spaces, these solutions come at a time when brands are looking beyond conventional screens to engage consumers.

Speaking about the idea behind the innovations, Meher Luthra, Director of Brite Edge, said, “India already has thousands of LED screens. The gap wasn't the lack of screens. The gap was bringing media and architecture together to create a seamless experience without compromising the design of a space.”

She added that as developers invest heavily in glass-based architecture across airports, commercial buildings, hospitals and premium real estate projects, there is a growing need to make those surfaces more functional. "Today, every other facade is glass. The visual journey of people inside and outside these buildings has become important. We wanted to create solutions that allow glass to become a communication platform without affecting its aesthetics."

Transparent LED Film

Imagine a store window or showroom glass that can display videos, advertisements and brand messages without losing its transparency. That's what Brite Edge's Transparent LED Film aims to do. The solution converts ordinary glass surfaces into digital display screens while still allowing people to see through them. This means brands can showcase content on windows and facades without blocking natural light or visibility.

Its lightweight, modular nature supports integration across storefronts, curtain walls, atriums, and suspended installations, delivering high-brightness content, motion visuals and anamorphic experiences in a sleek and futuristic format.

The solution is available in multiple pixel pitch options, including P4, P5, P6, P8 and P10, catering to applications that require higher image clarity and closer viewing distances. For large-format installations and building facades, the company offers P15, P20, P24 and P30 variants.

According to Meher, the technology enables businesses to monetise surfaces that were previously unused. “What was never monetised before can now become the media platform of tomorrow. The architecture remains untouched, but the experience can change completely.”

Smart Film

An electronically controlled light-management solution, Smart Film allows glass to switch between transparent and opaque states instantly, eliminating the need for traditional blinds or curtains. It is available in multiple variants to control the level of transparency, including Variant 091, Variant 087 and Variant 085.

The solution can also transform brand-owned spaces by displaying logos, designs and patterns on glass surfaces on demand, with response times of less than 20 milliseconds for some variants and customisation possible in virtually any colour. Beyond privacy, the film can also help reduce glare and UV exposure while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

UTD Film

Applied directly onto transparent surfaces, the film enables holographic-style projections and floating visual effects, creating the impression that content is suspended in mid-air. The technology can be used in retail stores, showrooms, and experience centres.

Available in both Hanging UTD Film and Self-Adhesive UTD Film formats, the solution gives businesses the flexibility to integrate transparent displays into a variety of environments while maintaining visibility through the surface.

Sky Screen

Perhaps the most eye-catching solution in the portfolio is Sky Screen, a drone-lifted aerial LED display technology built for large-scale outdoor spectacles. Unlike traditional LED installations that are confined to walls and facades, Sky Screen creates visual experiences in open-air environments.

The ultra-lightweight transparent display can be deployed for product launches, festivals, exhibitions, and public events to engage audiences across large venues. The solution is available in P30 and P40 configurations and supports large-format display applications.

Explaining the concept, Meher said, “Sky Screen allows us to bring visuals into the sky without creating a drone formation. We are unlocking an entirely new layer of visibility. In a way, we are even monetising air.”

Brite Edge sees significant potential for these solutions in modern retail environments, “The future of retail isn’t more screens, it’s making the space itself a part of the experience. Today, people don't just visit a store to shop. They come for the experience. Brands want to create that wow factor from the moment customers walk in," said Meher. She also highlighted how retailers are constantly looking for ways to keep spaces fresh and engaging without repeatedly redesigning them. "Earlier it was shop-in-shop formats, then posters, banners and digital screens. Now the architecture can stay the same while the experience keeps changing.”
