California Burrito set to open 100th store

By Retail4Growth Bureau | February 11, 2025

The brand, which is planning to open its 100 stores in Bengaluru, says it aims to expand to 300 stores by 2030, including new locations in Mumbai and Pune.

California Burrito, the leading fast-casual Mexican restaurant in India, is set to open its 100th store at Miraya Rose, Whitefield, Bengaluru, on February 15, 2025.

Drawing inspiration from San Francisco’s Mission-style burritos, the brand has expanded from a single outlet in Bengaluru to a nationwide presence across Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

“The 100th store opening is a significant milestone, not just for California Burrito but also for the growing acceptance of Mexican food in India,” said Bert Mueller, Co-founder of California Burrito. “This milestone reflects the love and trust our customers have shown us over the years. While this is a great achievement, we recognise that this is just the beginning of our journey.”

The brand says it aims to expand to 300 stores by 2030, including new locations in Mumbai and Pune, while reinforcing its commitment to sustainable sourcing of premium-quality ingredients. It would be interesting to witness how the brand will spice up its burrito game in India.
