Humanscale opens its Ergonomic Experience Centre in Hyderabad

New York-headquartered Humanscale, the leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance workplace products, has officially opened its Showroom and Ergonomic Experience Centre in Hyderabad. The launch marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion in India and reinforces its long-term commitment to the Indian market, further advancing its mission to help build an Ergonomic India.

Located in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, the 2,300 sq. ft. centre showcases Humanscale’s world-class ergonomic solutions, such as task chairs, height-adjustable desks, keyboard systems, and monitor arms, to the city’s design, architecture, and workplace communities through a purpose-built, experiential environment.

“This is a major moment for Humanscale’s operations in India,” said Alastair Stubbs, Country Director India, Humanscale, while speaking exclusively to Retail4Growth. “This is the first of its kind dedicated retail space that we will now be looking to expand across the country.” Doubling up as education hubs, Humanscale plans to have its experience centres in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Mysore soon.

While the company’s primary focus is B2B with large corporate workspaces, its retail (B2C) currently accounts for 5-7% of the India revenues. “But certainly we see huge growth in the retail market, especially with work from home being pretty strong in India. The target is to grow retail to 1/3rd of our turnover in India,” he adds. The brand is also considering partnerships with premium boutiques and activations in golf clubs, airports and hotels to reach its target audience.

Humanscale has established the Hyderabad centre through its authorised India Manufacturing and Distribution partner, S Cube Ergonomics Pvt Ltd (S Cube) and will be operated jointly with Atelier V. S. Global Innovations Pvt Ltd, a Telangana-based firm.
