VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2013 celebrates retail design talent

A total of 52 awards were presented on the awards evening, which included 22 Gold Winners and 30 Merits.

Celebrating design talent and their work in the Indian Retail Design industry, VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2013 honoured and recognized individuals who have contributed to contemporizing, energizing and leveraging the possibilities in retail design for best effect. This year VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2013 marked a new record by receiving highest number of entries in its history. With 225 entries for the awards, the overwhelming response reflects the spreading fervour and popularity of VM&RD Retail Design Awards. This year the entries were judged by two separate jury panels for the first round, followed by a second round which was judged by all. The jury constituted of the best brains from the Indian and international design and retail fraternity. They intricately observed, analysed the idea, the execution and impeccably evaluated the entries. The jury was an apt blend and they sure put their best foot forward to ensure that the deserving wins.

A total of 52 awards were presented on the awards evening, which included 22 Gold Winners and 30 Merits. FRDC stood out with six honours across various categories, closely followed by FITCH with five awards. While DCA Architect, Lotus and Shoppers Stop, took home four awards each. And then there was Lotus and Surreal Brand bagging three awards followed by D&P, Puma Sports India, Sanjay Puri Architects, Shark Design and Studio J with each winning two awards.

Among the gold winners, the Best Store Design award was presented to Fitch for Vodafone EBEZ and Lotus for Lemp Brewpub and Kitchen.
