Walmart announces Prashanti Bodugum as Vice-President, Technology and Centre head, Chennai

With over 23 years of experience, Bodugum has held various senior leadership roles at organisations like Capgemini and GE in financial services and supply chain management.
Walmart has announced the appointment of Prashanti Bodugum as the company’s vice-president, technology and center head for Chennai.
As the centre head, Bodugum will play a critical role in enabling the long-term tech strategy for Walmart. Her focus will be to set up the Chennai centre as a sustainable location, to drive focus on outcomes and value creation for the organization through enablement with the right tools and governance. She will be a member of the leadership team, and will be contributing to thought leadership and innovation across the enterprise.
“Prashanti is an accomplished leader with immense experience across diverse functions and markets and her cross-functional experience, in-depth knowledge and strong tech acumen will make her ideal for this critical role. I am confident that she will play an integral part in achieving our vision to build a strong Walmart tech brand in the Chennai ecosystem,” said Hari Vasudev, Country Head and SVP-technology.

With over 23 years of experience, Bodugum has held various senior leadership roles at organisations like Capgemini and GE in financial services and supply chain management. She joins the Walmart team from Optum Global Solutions, where she has spent the last five years playing a transformational role as the head of UnitedHealthcare, corporate systems delivery and infrastructure services.
