Roland DG has launched two new wide-format eco-solvent inkjet printer/cutters to its TrueVIS range; the SG-300 and SG-540

For print service providers Roland DG has added two new wide-format eco-solvent inkjet printer/cutters to its TrueVIS range; the SG-300 and SG-540.

The TrueVIS brand is Roland DG’s newest generation of inkjet printer/cutters, combining its proven technology and expertise. As part of the TrueVIS family, the SG series offers colour quality, versatility and ease-of-use with significant enhancements: new Roland DG FlexFireprintheads, new 4 -colourTrueVISElement Ink, advanced integrated print & cut technology and a host of additional state-of-the-art features. The SG series is available in both 762mm (30”) and 1371mm (54”) models for producing indoor and outdoor advertising, vehicle graphics, banners, posters and displays, as well as labels, decals and apparel heat transfers.

“Today’s sign market is typified by intense competition due to the proliferation of wide-format inkjet printers,” says Andrew Oransky, General Manager of Sign Business Development for Roland DG. “Sign shops and print service providers are looking for an advantage over their competitors by providing high quality printing while keeping operating costs down. Small shops in particular will appreciate the outstanding overall value and low cost of ownership of our SG series,” he adds.

Roland DG introduced integrated print and cut technology in the mid-1990’s and the TrueVIS series represents Roland’s most advanced print and cut products to date. With the SG-300/540, two Roland DG FlexFireprintheads fire precision droplets in three sizes and a wide print pass, for high-quality output and efficient ink usage. Every drop of ink falls exactly where it is intended, delivering beautiful images and uniform colours. The combination of TrueVISElement Ink, engineered specifically for the FlexFireprinthead, and Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP software results in stunning fine details and vibrant colours at production speeds. TrueVIS Element Ink is the next evolution for Roland DG’s range of eco-solvent ink technology, the CMYK range meets user demands for competitively priced ink with low consumption and excellent performance.

Oransky comments, “With high quality output, versatility and reliability, the TrueVIS SG series delivers a superb return on investment. Cost-effective and easy-to-use, print service providers can start making money with their SG from day one by expanding the range of applications they offer to their existing customers and opening up profitable new markets.”
