Looks Salon: A glamourous oasis of self-care

The idea behind this salon space, located at Golden I in Greater Noida, was to convey healing, self-care, and opulence, all together as one seamless whole. And that’s exactly how the design team at Resaiki Interiors and Architecture Design Studio, headed by Kuntal Vyas Aggarwal, crafted the space for Looks Salon.

Glamour curated in a vintage ambience 

Looks Salon, with its double-height expanse of 22 feet, is about combining glamour with “rooted charm” as the design team informs. Kuntal Vyas Aggarwal,  Founder and Design Head, Resaiki Interiors and Architecture Design Studio, says, speaking about the project and the client brief, “The design and the various elements are strategically incorporated in response to the client's desire for flamboyance and opulence.” This includes golden trims and influences, like the grand chandelier adorning the reception area, for example.  

Further, explaining the thought process behind the colour scheme, Kuntal shares, “The colour palette, carefully curated in beautiful brick tones, pristine whites, luxurious gold, and deep greens, is more than an aesthetic choice - it's a deliberate selection to evoke a sense of healing and well-being. To counterbalance the vibrant reception area, a reflective white colour palette creates a serene ambience, emphasising the holistic design ethos.”

Celebration of luxury & wellness 

The final experience or narrative that a space conveys is the result of many small elements working harmoniously together. From golden bases and handles adorning the green chairs to meticulously designed makeup room featuring Moroccan tiles, the green moss-coloured chairs and the touch of opulent gold, every element in Looks Salon is meant to be a celebration of refined luxury and wellness. The overall colour scheme is complimented by accents of warm white lights, including chandelier, ring lights and profiles that enhance the holistic appeal of the space, informs Kuntal.

The mezzanine floor unfolds as a private retreat for men, offering cutting spaces and a massage room, while the ground floor features the reception area and a spacious double-height haircutting zone for women, coexisting with dedicated spaces for rejuvenating treatments, pedicures, and mindful makeup sessions.

Summing up the design concept, Kuntal adds, “The space is designed as a sanctuary for healing, wellness, and self-care where every design choice, from the rich colour palette to the opulent golden accents, is an invitation to indulge in a transformative experience - a space where glamour meets mindfulness.”
