Turtle opens their 100th exclusive brand store at Baguihati, Kolkata

The brand has made its presence felt in 400 cities across India with over 100 exclusive Turtle and London Bridge stores and has the vision to open 500 stores across the country.
Turtle, India’s premier men’s lifestyle brand recently opened their 100th exclusive brand store at Baguihati, Kolkata. The store, spread across an entire floor at Baguihati, Raghunathpur will be catering to the needs for today’s modern men in that catchment area. The boutique is entirely dedicated to men’s apparel and accessories prêt-à-porter collections.
Shitanshu Jhunjhunwala, Director, Turtle Limited said, “We have always kept in mind the consumer demands and the change in market trend with regards to our designing and product quality and moved ahead accordingly. We would like our consumers to enjoy apparel shopping experience at our stores and I do hope that our hospitality apart from the wide variety of chic collection would definitely make them feel content. Moreover, one lucky customer can also win a Yamaha Bike against purchasing over Rs. 3000/-”. Turtle merchandise is also available in over 1200 multi-brand outlets and in over 175 large format retail stores (including Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Reliance Trends and Central) aprt from their EBO’s. The brand now has the aim to penetrate in other zones like South, West and North with their exclusive stores as well. The states like U.P, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are three immediate states where the brand will be opening exclusive retail outlets. On the expansion, Shitanshu further informs, “We always expand in the form of both channels be it our own company owned stores or franchisee models. We have identified 10-12 cluster cities in these states and the retail expansion work is soon going to start there. The ideal store size for Turtle range is not less than 1000 sq. ft. and we will follow this store design concept for future expansions”.
The 1000 sq. ft. showroom has been conceptualized by the Turtle team giving a very chic look and feel. The walls feature moulded panels covered with special fabric, and a contrasting backlit onyx. “With this store the idea is to create a fashion statement for our target group which is essentially between the age group of 25-35 especially. Also for our better engagement with the shoppers we will be having a fashion curator at the store who will explain the customers about the latest fashion trends and also we are having a large LED screen which will showcase the latest collections and styles which are at part with global standards”, adds Shitanshu.
