As
part of its initiative to recreate the diversity of the eastern
region's cultures under one roof, Neptune Magnet Mall at Bhandup in
Mumbai has rolled out an East Indian cultural diversity initiative for a
period of 15 days. The initiative is already attracting a record number
of footfalls.
Visitors to the mall are getting to experience
diverse eastern arts ranging from the Durga Puja of West Bengal to the
majestic and elegant dance forms of Odisha and Assam. They can also shop
for authentic goods from the eastern region like the Baluchari Sari from
West Bengal or the famous jute bags from the North East.
The
mall has invited the performers from the very places where the
particular art forms have originated, such as, the Bihu dancers who have
come all the way from Assam. Along with the dance performances, the
guests can also taste authentic cuisines from the region.
Commenting
on this initiative, Surjit Singh Rajpurohit, CEO, Neptune's Magnet
Mall, said, "Many of us travel to various holiday destinations across
the country. But it is practically not feasible for all of us to reach
out to every corner of our great country, and know the various cultures,
traditions, art or cuisine. At Neptune we value our Indian traditions,
and it is the primary reason why we thought of bringing together'India'
under one roof for people to savor the rich diversity of our country.â€
The initiative will draw to a close on the Independence Day.
