Brand heritage, spatial elegance and tech enabled efficiency come together at U.S Polo Assn’s latest store in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, positioned as the brand’s largest store in the country.

As Amitabh Suri, CEO, U.S Polo Assn. India, told Retail4Growth in an exclusive chat during the store launch, “This is a very important day for the brand, it’s in fact a feather in the cap for us and we will be unleashing many more of these in the country.”

He added, reiterating the store’s ethos, “Our flagship store at Jayanagar isn’t just a brick-and-mortar expansion, it’s a statement and one of kind experience for Bangalore customers.”

Spread across 6190 sq ft and 3 floors, the brand’s new store has been designed in house and adorns contemporary design aesthetics that bring alive the brand ethos and resonate with its target audience.

The store that houses the brand’s entire product collection, also dons many firsts. For example,  it’s the brand’s first store to take its new SS’24 women’s wear collection live in-store.  Also, it’s their first omnichannel store offering facility to customers to order products online from the store and get them delivered at their homes. The store also features more dynamic LEDs, a hard to miss ‘Polo wall’ capturing the brand spirit, robust supply chain management along with other technologies for greater consumer insights, engagement and experience.

As Amitabh says, “There have been good investments in LEDs across board as our focus is on ensuring the store has the right technologies to capture consumer attention. A lot of work is happening at the back-end for heat mapping and real time capture of consumer behaviour and brand performances, which will be followed by instant course corrections.”

Speaking further about the brand’s retail plans, Amitabh says, “India is an interesting market with dynamic changes, so we have to adapt accordingly. Currently, we have plans to open another 80 stores with the focus being on creating large flagship stores, which we call our “million-dollar stores“. The idea is to create stickiness among consumers, who are very fragmented today. So it’s important to create desire and ambience in the store spaces to make them keep coming back and that’s going to be our focus area - consistently elevate our retail standards and create one-stop destinations for our customers to keep coming back to. “

Currently, the brand’s retail footprint in India includes more than 400 brand stores and over 2000 shop-in-shops across 200 cities in India.
