Vjmedia Works | December 23, 2015

The Breakbounce store takes on a grungy look utilising maximum wall spaces. The brand plans to open its EBOs in Bangalore followed by Surat, Ahmedabad and Delhi by next year.

Breakbounce, the retail brand that focuses on men's streetwear fashion and a part of Goldenseam Industires Pvt Ltd, launched its first exclusive brand outlet recently in Vadodara. The brand already has presence in 140+ doors through partnerships with retail giants such as Lifestyle, Splash, Central and Reliance Footprint. It also has retail windows through Flipkart.com, Myntra, Snapdeal.com, Jabong.com and Amazon.in.

Focusing on quintessential streetwear fashion designed for men, the first exclusive brand outlet was launched with the brand's FW15 collection. "With an advantage of backward integration to design, develop and manufacture, we have paid great attention to product and its detailing. Its product proposition encapsulates all categories of apparel and provides a more holistic experience of the current international street styles,” informed Sanjeev Mukhija, Managing Director, Breakbounce. Started in India in 2012 and headquartered in Bangalore, Breakbounce adopted a strategically different approach from the conventional brick and mortar model adopted by most brands.

The concept store, spread across 640 sq ft, is a fusion of opposites and represents a grungy look with its choice of materials. The main design of the store is composed of two main elements - first element being a composition of vertical MDF/Cement board slats that make up the shell of the store and the second being a container. The wall display covering almost entire wall space of the store is a composition of slats and boxes to store the products. The slats have products rolled up in cylinders and stacked one on top of the other in a colour coded fashion. This augments the design and also acts as storage in an attractive way. The walk-ins will instantly sense and identify with the street style vibe of the store. "The idea is to give the youth, an experience straight off the international runways as the brand brings the latest trends in streetwear to the Indian shores at affordable prices,” added Mukhija.

Further commenting on the launch, Mukhija said, "The men's wear market in the country is growing rapidly, making India a lucrative market for the brand. Taking this into consideration, we have strategically timed and planned the launch of our first EBO in Vadodara. It is one of the most promising markets among Tier 2 cities with immense purchasing power and demand for defined fashion. By the end of 2016 we plan to launch EBOs in Bangalore followed by a few in Surat, Ahmedabad and Delhi.”
